Our inquiry question was:
How do your 5 senses help you discover the world around you?
Students independently chose to participate in a variety of centres to determine how their senses could be used in a variety of ways.
Centre 1: Using strategies to stack blocks while blindfolded
Cenre 2: Making sound by filling glasses with water
Centre 3: Determine what's in a Mystery Box through touch
Centre 4: Taste Test
Our Grade 3's determined that our senses can:
- Help us navigate
- Help keep us safe
- Overcome the loss of a sense by making the other ones stronger
- Help us make sense of the world we live in
