It's All About Procedures

Have you ever assembled something step-by-step or made a cake from a recipe? If you have then you have followed a procedural text.

We have been reading and writing procedural texts in 3M. So far this year, we have written procedural texts as a class, small groups and individually.

How to Brush Your Teeth
How to Make Tea
How to Make an Origami Frog
How to Blow a Bubble
How Beavers Make Dams and Lodges
How to Make Sponge Cards
How to Play the Game of Go
How to Make Your Favourite Hot Dog

The students even had their teacher make and eat a peanut butter, jam, turkey bacon, pickle sandwich! Yuck!
